Old Girls ’ Dance

ST. CUTHBERT’S COLLEGE EX-STUDENTS ENTERTAIN. I FLOWER DECORATIONS Scots Hall last evening was fragrant with spring flowers when a very successful dance was held by the Old Girls’ Association of St. Cutlibert’s College. Potted shrubs, spring foliage and feathery bamboo transformed the main dance hall and great bowls of violets and golden daffodils were arranged in the lounge, where Bridge was played. Downstairs in the supper room masses of beautiful spring flowers were the only decoration. Dixieland Orchestra provided the brightest and newest dance numbers. Aliss Clouston, principal of St. Cuthbert’s College, received the guests with Aliss Helen Asser. Aliss Clouston wore amber coloured georgette chenille embossed in midnight, blue. Miss Asser was in petalled georgette of pompadour pink. Among those present were: Mrs. McGregor, dainty frock of mimosa yellow georgette with tulle overskirt of uneven length. Mrs. Pittock, gown of ivory souple satin with slightly draped skirt. Airs. Vialoux, frilled georgette gown of cameo pink. Airs. Afarler, frock of ivory satin with frilled tulle skirt of uneven length, trimmed with tiny rosebuds. Aliss Jean Robertson, frock of ivory georgette and ring velvet with shoulder spray of red roses. Aliss- Alary Beattie, gown of black georgette relieved with silver. Aliss Linley Le Qdesne, primrose georgette frock with skirt composed of tiny frills. Aliss Alary Johnston, chenille embossed georgette frock of pompadour pink. Aliss Ena Potter, frock of cedar rose georgette witli relief of silver. Aliss Joyce Wright, bouffant gown m period style of black taffeta and exquisite shawl of exotic colourings. Aliss Evelyn Sim son, gown of cream lace worn over orchid tinted crepe de chine, shoulder spray of cyclamen flowers. Miss Kathleen Leighton,, lacquer red georgette gown worn over crepe de chine of matching shade and relieved with diamante trimming. Aliss Colwill, dainty georgette frock of ivory with frilled skirt of uneven length. Miss Linda De Renzy, gown of gold lace worn over old gold satin beaute. Aliss Seabrook, byzantine blue georgette frock with the scalloped hem outlined with tiny frills. Aliss Doris Tills, frock of deep cream georgette and lace, with relief of brilliants. Aliss Edna Gill, petalled crepe de chine frock of buttercup yellow. Aliss Freda CVuidin, ivory georgette embroidered with pastel coloured beads.
