TRANSPORT CONFERENCE
CITY COUNCIL MAY RAISE OBJECTIONS REPRESENTATIVES QUESTIONED Tho City Council has informed the ! outside local bodies that it reserves the right to say whether or not it will agree to the representatives appointed by the outside bodies to meet it at Tuesday evening’s transport conference. When the city decided to meet the outside local bodies it stipulated that the representatives must bo confined to areas in the Greater Auckland area, which excluded New Lynn and Manuka u County. The local bodies announced that their representatives would be Messrs. E. H. Potter, R. G. Clark, W. J. Holdsworth, T. Blood worth, W. L. Titchener, A. Milliken, E. F. Jones and F. W. Waters. Messrs. Iloldsw’orth and Bloodworth are not members of the local bodies directly concerned, and respecting them the town clerk, Mr. J. S ; Brigham, has advised the local bodies as follows : “With regard to the personnel of the representatives of the local bodies, I am directed to say that it was contemplated by the council that the conference would be between members of the local bodies concerned. The question of the introduction of those named who are not members will be submitted to the council immediately it meets on Tuesday evening next”
