Will League Final be Decided To-morrow?
SHORE LEADS IN POINTS PONSONBY HAS HARD GAME The meeting of Devonport •'and Ponsonby in the feature Rugby clash to-morrow, will in all probability prove one of the most important club games of the season. Shore Leaguers are at present leading in the competition, and a win for them to-morrow, which is certainly well on the cards, will practically assure them of the championship. The big game, however, is certainly not expected to be a one-sided contest. Although Ponsonby is without the services of three of its best players who are in the New Zealand team at Christchurch, it managed to run Richmond to a draw last Saturday, and ®fter this can only be expected to make the clash a hard one for Shore City and Marist will also play at Carlaw Park, and after the decisive defeat of Newton last week by the former team, it makes matters appear hard for the Tykes. Richmond will meet Ellerslie, at Ellerslie. The chances in this game appear bright for the youthful team Leaguers, who have played great footbaU throughout the season.
