TRACTOR-DRIVER KILLED
CAPSIZE OF MACHINE VICTIM SUFFOCATED IN SWAMP (From Our Oxen Correspondent) WHAKATANE. To-day„ A tractor driver, Ernest Frost, was killed at Matata yesterday through his tractor striking swampy land with the front wheel, and turning over, and pinning Frost to the ground. It was some time before the victim could be extricated from beneath the tractor. He was found to be dead, apparently suffocated by the swamp. He is believed to be a single man.
