Linesman Electrocuted.—An employee of the Poverty Bay Electric - Power Board. Roy Bartlett, aged 27, was electrocuted while working at Waimata yesterday. Mr. Ffartlett fell across a line with a voltage of 6,000. He was married and had two children. Woman Hangs Herself.—Mrs. Mary Alice McClennan, aged 62 years, was found hanging by a rope from a rafter in the wash-house at her residence at Maori Hill. Dunedin, yesterday morning. She had been in ill-health for some time. At the inquest a verdict of suicide by hanging was recorded.— P.A.
