BAY OF PLENTY VISIT WHAKATANE PLANS PROGRAMME Press Association. WHAKATANE, To-day. Representatives of local bodies conferred with Mr. A. W. Wellsted, commercial agent for the railways, last evening, and outlined the programme for the entertainment of the 70 Auckland Chamber of .Commerce members who are arriving in this district by the business train on October 28. It was decided to organise a fleet of motor-cars to convey visitors round the Opouriao Valley. The party will then come to Whakatane for luncheon, and in the afternoon will be motored over the Rangitaiki Plains, connecting with the commerce train at Matata at 4 p.m. If time permits, the party will be motored through the Maraetotara Gorge to Ohope Beach, a popular summer resort of Whakatane.
