£200,000 GIFT

ORPHANAGE WINDFALL DINGWALL BEQUEST SCHEME An important step toward the realisation bf the D. M. Dingwall bequest of an orphanage has been made by the handing over of the estate from the executors to the Trust Board. Assets worth £198,414 are available. The object of the orphanage will be the sheltering, maintenance and upbringing of New Zealand children whose circumstances are such that they require a home. At the first annual meeting of the Dingwall Orphanage Trust Board, Mr. J. W. Ryburn was reappointed chairman. It is expected that the orphanage will * be built within a year. A site comprising 36 acres has been secured at Papatoetoe, and the plans are now being discussed.
