PRESIDENT WITHDRAWS Press Association. WELLINGTON, To-day. At the annual meeting of the Federated Superannuated Public Servants’ Association, the president, Captain Barclay, protested strongly against the vice-president’s action in signing the annual report. Wheh it was proposed to discuss the subject in committee he refused and withdrew from the meeting. Mr. H. Girling Butcher, vice-presi-dent, was afterwards elected president and presided over a meeting of the Dominion executive, which passed resolutions thanking Sir Joseph Ward and all others who assisted for their good offices in instituting superannuation, and asking for fortnightly payments.
