JOCKEY FINED £lO WOULD MAKE HORSE FRANTIC (United P.A. — By Telegraph — Copyright) MELBOURNE, Tuesday. John Hook, the rider of the mare Hallowe’en, on which an electric battery was found at the Richmond racecourse on July 23, was fined £lO, the maximum penalty. An expert said the saddle contained three dry cells, capable of giving a shock of 800 volts, and sufficient to make a horse frantic.
