PALMERSTON NORTH RAISES OWN LOANS
CONFIDENCE OF PEOPLE Press Association. PALMERSTON N. f To-day. TT was reported at a meeting of the Borough Council last evening that a loan for the erection of a library has been raised locally at per cent, free of brokerage. During the past 18 months three loans have been raised locally to a total value of £39,000. Councillors stated that the response showed the confidence of citizens in the future of the borough.
