PRINCE EDWARD
A BEERY-HATTON PICTURE One of the most uproarious comedies every produced by those two experts. Wallace Beery and Raymond Hatton, will be shown this evening at the Prince Edward Theatre. This is “Wife Savers,” in which the two comedians appear as American soldiers on the Franco-Swiss frontier after the armistice. Wallace is an army cook and Hatton a second lieutenant. The Swiss girls in the village where the boys are billeted are like the. j women everywhere. They fall in j love with the officers. Consequently Hatton has picked himself a little playmate in Colette. Beery hasn’t had much luck along that line, and has only been able to attract Germaine, the village husband-seeker. When Hatton has to go to another village he leaves Colette in the care of his friend, with disastrous results “Doomsday,” the second picture, stars the popular Florence Vidor in the role of a girl who could not choose between riches from an old man or love and poverty from a young man. Gary Cooper is also seen in this picture,
