HIGH PRICES FOR CALF-SKINS AUCKLAND VALUES Calfskins reached the highest local levels for a number of years at the Auckland hide and skin sale this afternoon, best grade lots making up to 19d a lb Hides were firm at late rates, with a slightly better demand for second grades. Sheepskins were very firm and met witli keen competition. Three-quarter to full wool skins, fine, made to lOiJd; medium, 14d to Isd; coarse 12cl to 14d; half-wool, 12d to 13£d; short and shod, 9d to 12d; lambs. 12d tod 15?.d; salted, extra large 13s 9d, large lOd'to Ld: small, 6s to 10s.
