POULTRY IN DEVONPORT
PROTEST AGAINST NEW BY-LAW A meeting of poultry-keepers to protest against the new by-laws relating to poultry was held in Devonport last evening. A letter was received from the Borough Council saying that it would consider any workable amendment. but after much discussion it was decided not to offer any amendment, but to make a united protest against what was though to be an unreasonable by-law. The opportunity was taken to form a Poultry Keepers’ Association in Devonport and a committee was appointed with power to act. Particulars of a meeting to be held are advertised elsewhere.
