CLUB COMPETITIONS The following were the results of club competitions:— Titirangi.—ln the Taylor Bowl semifinals at Titirangi on Saturday afternoon H. Randrup beat lan Stewart, the favourite for the eevnt, 5 and 4, and Carnachan beat Aiken, 7 and 5. Both wins were unexpectedly big. In a bogey competition the best scores were:—W. P. Baker, all square; A. le Sieur, all square; H. W. Cooke, T. Robinson and T. PI. Chapman, each 2 down. One Tree Hill.—Medal: S. Reid, 96—25, 71: E. D. Reidy, 89—16, 73; J. Gilmour, 88—14, 74. Glendowie Ladies —Championship final: Mrs. McMillan beat Miss O. English, 4 and 2. Pupuke Ladies.—Medal: Mrs. Goldwater, 102—29, 73; Mrs. Weller, 110—34, 76 Hamilton.—Gilbey Cup, 3rd round: W. M. Horton, 7 up; Gunn, 5 up; Crisp, 5 up; W. D. Ross, 4 up; Day, 2 up. Otahuhu Ladies. —Following is the result of an L.G.U. medal match, played by the Otahuhu Ladies’ Golf Club on Saturday:—Miss M. Cutforth, 90—18, 72; Mrs. Hipkins, 93—19, 74; Miss Richards, 111—35, 76; Miss N. Dreadon, 106—29, 77. Eclectic. —Three rounds for trophy presented by Mrs. W. W. Massey, was won by Miss M. Cutforth, 53—12, 41. The next best card handed in was Mrs. Hipkins, 55—13, 42. C Grade match.—Miss M. Wills and Mrs. Boyce were all square, 75—24, 51. These players have to play off. KING COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS The King Country golf championships were concluded on Saturday, the men’s section playing. The weather in the morning was sunny, but in the afternoon cloudy and showery. In addition to the four clubs competing on Friday, Waimarino sent a team for Saturday’s play. The Teams’ Cup competition was won by Otorohanga, by the narrow margin of one point, being 1,040 to Taumarunui’s I, The individual ladies* championship was won by Mrs. Richter, of Taumarunui, and the individual men’s championship by J. L. Black, of Otorohanga. His score was 143. The teams’ handicap cups were won by Otorohanga. The individual handicap championship was won by Steedman, of Te Kuiti with a score of 135. A cup for the best even fours, over 86 holes was won by J. L. Black, of Otorohanga All the winners were presented with their cups by Mr. J. C. RoUeston. M.P. The final of the men’s senior championship over 36 holes, between Ohlson and Christianson, resulted in a win for Ohlson by 5 up and 3 to play. At the end of the first 18 holes Christianson was 2 up. Playing great golf in the afternoon Ohlson completed the first 9 holes in 36 (2 under bogey) and turned 6 up and went on to get dormey 5 before winning, 5 up and 3. Christianson was well out of touch in the afternoon, and was repeatedly getting into trouble. In the semi-final of the junior championship, Barriball beat Ducker, 4 up final now meets Jerram in the In the semi-final of the ladies’ senior championship Miss Muir beat Mi's. Christianson, 3 up and 2, and now plays Miss Barriball in the final. In the semi-final of the junior event Mrs. Munro beat Miss Sullivan 1 up and will meet Miss Barnaby in the final. AKARANA CHAMPIONSHIPS In the final of the Akarana Golf Club’s championships, B. J. Smith, jun., beat On Wallace last year's champion, 8 up and 6 to play.
