WILLIAMS. i _i FLOWER DECORATIONS Banks of golden wattle and vases of spring flowers added their fragrance and colour to the delightfully gay colour scheme that brightened the rooms at ‘‘Ulverton,’ the home in Remuera Road of Dr. and Mrs. E. Williams, who gave a dance party on Saturday evening for a number of the young friends of their daughter. Mrs. Williams, who with the doctor welcomed the guests on arrival, wore a charming frock of black chantilly lace under a -\yrap of nankin blue panne velvet. Miss D. . Williams was wearing a dainty frock of ivory taffeta and silver lace. Among the guests were: Miss Vera Dewing, who wore opal blue taffeta inset with ivory lace. Miss Winsome Airey, in jade green and gold beaded georgette. Miss Edna Schnauer, wearing a flounced frock of powder blue georgette. Miss Alison Dewing, in a frock of black georgette with embroidered motif. Miss Eileen Spence, turquoise blue taffeta appliqued with velvet. Miss Barbara Pierce, frock of delphinium blue georgette over fuchsia. Miss Jane Hudson, opal blue georgette relieved with diamante. Miss Rita Hill, ivory frock of satin with jade green hem. Miss Jean Kent, frock of cherry red ring velvet. Miss E. Whitson, rose pink tulle over floral georgette. Miss Dinah Issacs, rhinestone trimmed frock of blue taffeta. AT DIXIELAND About three hundred and fifty people enjoyed a gay dance at Dixieland on Saturday evening last. Bright music was supplied by the band.
