EVERYBODY’S

“TURKISH DELIGHT” A delightful theme which carries one from a dingy rug shop in New York to the gorgeous palace of a sultan in Constantinople, makes up the picture, “Turkish Delight,” which will be shown at Everybody’s Theatre this evening. In “Turkish Delight,” the story of which was written by Irvin S. Cobb, Rudolf Schildkraut is seen as a Turkish rug merchant in New York, who falls heir to the throne of his brother, late Sultan of Turkestan. Although he hates women he is devoted to his niece, Zelma, played by Julia Faye. They go to Turkey and on the steamship Zelma meets and falls in love with Donald Sims, an American, played by Kenneth Thomson. When they reach their destination the ladies of late sultan’s harem go on a strike and scenes of great excitement follow. Women in arms are not as angelic as in the game of love, and their proud dictatorial Turkish ruler of a harem soon was brought to terms. “Turkish Delight” Is a charming, thrilling and different comedy. “Life’s Circus,” a tale of dramatic intensity, is the second attraction. The story tells of the rivalry of two brothers who are compelled to act together day after day, yet remain estraf%ed and never speak to one another. The romance of the younger brother and the danger of the girl who does the "death glide” act at the circus, finally brings them together.
