August 18. COASTAL MOVEMENTS—
The Rangitoto, which arrived at Auckland shortly before noon to-day from Thames, sails again at 3 p.m. on Friday for the same port. The Daphne is due at three o’clock this afternoon from Kopu and Turua. She sails again at 2 p.m. to-morrow for Coromandel. The Kawau, which arrived at Auckland early this afternoon from Kawau, Takar.u, Ti Point and Little and Big Omaha, sails again at 2 p.m. to-morrow for Waiwera, Mahurangi and Warkworth. The Clansman, due at Auckland at half-past seven to-morrow morning from Russell, Opua, Whangaroa and Mangonui, sails for the same ports again at 4 p.m. on Monday. The Apanui, sailing at midnight tonight for the Great Barrier, returns at 6 p.m. to-morrow. The Hauiti was to be dispatched at noon to-day for Kerepeehi. She is due back again at 2 o’clock on Saturday morning. The Taniwha, sailing at eleven o’clock this evening for Paeroa, returns again at 4.30 a.m. on Saturday. The Ngapuhi sails at 6.30 p.m. to-day for Tauranga. She is due back at halfpast seven on Saturday morning. The Claymore, saiilng at half-past eight this evening for Whangarei, returns again at 4.30 a.m. on Saturday. The Omana sailed this mornig for Kawau, Mullet Point and Matakana. She is due back at 1 p.m. to-morrow. The Coronation, which arrived at Auckland this morning from Awanui, sails again at noon on Saturday for the same port. The Gunbar arrives at Auckland tomorrow from the East Coast and sails the same day on her return trip to Gisborne, Napier and East Coast bays. The Katoa is expected to arrive at Auckland at 8 o’clock to-night from Southern ports and berths at the Prince’s Wharf. After discharge here the vessel loads at Auckland for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. The Waipiata from Dunedin leaves Oamaru to-day, Timaru to-morrow, for Picton direct, thence Wellington for Auckland. She is due here about "Wednesday next. The Kaitoke leaves Wellington to-day for Lyttelton, where she now loads tomorrow for Auckland direct. She is due here early next week. The Wingatui has been fixed to load at Dunedin on Monday, thence Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington for Auckland. The Kaimanawa is loading at Westport to-day for New Plymouth and Auckland. She is expected to arrive here about the middle of next week. The Waimea arrived at Gisborne this morning and sails to-night for Napier and Auckland. She is due here next Sunday. The Atholl, now discharging sugar at Chelsea, leaves Auckland next Wednesday morning for Westport for bunkers. The Papanui leaves here on Saturday morning for Napier, thence Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin to land the balance of her inward cargo. The Cambridge, in continuation of her voyage from Liverpool, sails from Auckland early next week for Napier, Wellington, Lyttelton and Port Chalmers The Huntingdon is to leave Port Chalmers to-morrow morning for Australia, where she loads for Home. The Anglo-Columbian left Port Chalmers yesterday for Australian ports to complete her discharge of Texas cargo The Willesden left Lyttelton yesterday for Wanganui, where she lands the balance of her phosphates from Juan de Novo.
The Saltersgate is due at Wanganui to-morrow from Auckland and, after discharge, proceeds to Westport for bunkers.
