DEVONPORT CHURCH

GOOD YEAR REPORTED An all-round increase in church activities and incomes was reported at the annual congregational meeting of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Devonport, last evening. There was a large attendance, and the Rev. W. Lawson Marsh presided. The annual report stated that the membership roll stood at 233, an increase of 53 over the previous year. The total gross income was £1,422, showing an increase in the offertories of £lO6. The debt reduction for the year totalled £402. Contributions to missions and other church schemes amounted to £275. A new manse had been erected during the year. In moving the adoption of the session report, Mr. J. S. Fairgray paid a tribute to the progress made under the new minister. The following were elected to the board of management place of those retiring by rotation: Messrs. A. Blackie, D. Baillie, J. W. Jameson, H. Johnston, J. Gray, W. F. M. Mac Lean, E. L. Skinner and G. Spenpe.
