SURVEYORS CONFER

ELECTION OF OFFICERS Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, Wednesday. The annual conference of the Institute of Surveyors opened to-day. The visitors were welcomed by the Mayor, Mr. V. Griffiths. The following officers were elected: Vice-presidents, F. I. Ledger (Nelson), L. C. Sladden (New Plymouth); councillor, C. K. Grierson (Auckland); auditor, J. G. G. Feild (Wellington). The next conference will be held in Christchurch. A proposal for the council to meet quarterly instead of half-yearly was lost.
