BRITANNIA
VAUDEVILLE AND PICTURES A varied programme of vaudeville and pictures is offered this evening at the Britannia Theatre. The main pictorial attraction is “Doomsday,” a story of a girl who was loved by two men at once. One was a returned soldier working a littlefarm and struggling to make ends meet, and the other a wealthy landowner, who coujd promise her riches and power. She married the wealthy man and soon repented, finding happiness at last in work on the small farm. A strong vaudeville programme will bo presented this evening headed by Vulinini, master magician, conjurer, and juggler, featuring the “hoop of fire,” and needle-swallowing. Other artists will be the Romany Duo in vocal and instrumental items, and Roy Newton, the Parody King.
Hollywood is indeed a strange place. The extra lines will go to any extreme to gain admittance into the studio-. They will appear at the gates under the of any nationality, it all depending on the type of picture that being cast.
