WOMAN’S TWO ATTEMPTS AT SUICIDE Press Association MASTERTON, Tuesday. An inquest was held to-day concerning the death of Gertrude Hilda Roberts, a married woman, who was found dead on Monday afternoon in the wash-house of her home at Master ton, with her head in a gas oven, with the gas turned on. The evidence showed that deceased had apparently first attempted to hang herself with a rope from the washhouse ceiling, but the rope broke, and in falling she partially fractured her skull. The -coroner found that deceased came by her death from the effects of gas poisoning while mentally depressed.
