In spite of the fact that Oppernian, the Australian cyclist, lost his team mate on Saturday and had to choose another (Urago) for the final of the six days’ French race, the Australian finished third. The winners were Tinani and Boucheron, who covered 3387 kilometres (about 2112 miles) in 144 hours. Choury and Fahre were second.
