AUCKLAND LADIES’ TITLE MISS CULLING EXTENDED Miss E. Culling had to marshal all her forces yesterday to stave off defeat in the second round of the Auckland Ladies’ Golf Club championships. Playing to the 11th, Miss E. M. Upton was 3 up. Miss Culling won the next two in a brilliant 3 followed by a 4, and the next four holes were halved. Miss Culling won the 17th and a half at the 18th saw the match go to the 19th, where Miss Culling put her second within a yard of the pin to get a win 1 up. Another good match was that between Miss M. Macfarlane and Miss P. Rathbone, the latter putting Mrs. Dufaur out last week. Miss Macfarlane was round in 81 to win 4 and 3. Mrs. Robertson beat Mrs. Wilson 1 up and Miss L. Cutfield beat Mrs. Green 3 and 2. The second round of the junior championship resulted:—Mrs. McKean beat Mrs. Rainger, 3 and 2; Miss M. Graham beat Miss D. Porter, 5 and 3; Miss F. Egerton beat Mrs. Brown, 3 and 2; Miss N. Noakes beat Miss L. Robertson. 2 and 1. The following players have been selected to represent the Auckland Club at Titirangi on Friday:—Miss Culling, Miss Upton, Mrs Wilson, Miss Rathbone, Miss Macfarlane, Mrs. Robertson, Miss T.
