WOMEN IN CONFERENCE

DELEGATES AT HONOLULU (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) HONOLULU, Saturday. At the opening of the Women’s PanPacific Conference addresses of welcome were given by the Governor, Mr. Wallace Farrington, and Mr. Alexander Ford. In her reply Mrs. B. Rischbieth (Western Australia), head of the Australian delegation, expressed on its behalf their hope that they would take back to the newest civilisation the spirit and ideas of the oldest civilisations. She said the greatest democracy was found in Australia, New Zealand and the United States Mrs. C. A. Fraer, the leader of the New Zealand delegation, expressed the good wishes of the New Zealand women, including the Maoris.
