STRIKING DECORATIONS AT STUDENTS’ DANCE

DRULEIGH COLLEGE A canopy of black, golden and white streamers, with festoons of balloons in the same effective colourings, lent a distinctive air to Lewis Eady’s Hall on Saturday evening, when the students of Druleigh College held a very successful dance there. The college colours were flaunted across the gallery in its gaily-toned silken emblem, and streamers and confetti gave added colour relief to the scene. The committee responsible for much of the success of the function included the Misses B. Walker, D. Cooke. M. Power, F. Brooking, E. Potter; Messrs. Mill, Faulcombridge, Platt, Davey, Hender, Inglis, Somerville. The latest music was provided by Hyde’s Jazz Orchestra. Novelties introduced included the Monte Carlo (won by Miss Dumper and Mr. Jalpon), Monte Carlo for ladies only (won by Miss Cuthbertson and Miss A. Cuthbertson), and the spot waltz, of which Miss C.
