AT PAPATOETOE

ST. JOHN’S CHURCH The annual meeting of St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Papatoetoe, was held last week. During the year 29 names were added to the membership of the church, which now stands at 209. Monthly services are now held in the out-districts at Wiri, and East Tamaki. There are five Bib’e Classes, with a membership of 70. The tv/o Sunday Schools have a combined membership of 165 pupils. The ordinary revenue of the church for the year amounted to £1,550, apart from the amounts collected by the various organisations connected with it. The total remitted for missions from the church amounted to over £360. During the year the debt on the church was reduced by £l5O. During the evening, the Rev. D. D. Scott delivered an address, and a programme o£ musical items was given.
