WATER AND STREETS
VISIT TO WELLINGTON MAYOR HAS NO REPORT Business mainly connected with the proposed Auckland Water Bill was discussed by representatives of the City Council with the Prime Minister in Wellington yesterday. THE Mayor, Mr. G. Baildon, CounA cillor J. A. C. Allum and the town clerk, Mr. J. S. Brigham returned by the Limited this morning. Beyond stating that the trip concerned the Water Bill, the proposed extension of High Street, through tinsite of the old Shortland Street post office, and a few other matters, includ - ing the Transport Commission’s report, Mr. Baildon said he had nothing to make public at the present stage.
