TUDOR, REMUERA

CHARLIE CHAPLIN TO-NIGHT

Charles Chaplin, whose comedies are known the world over, will be seen this evening in his latest picture, “The Circus,” which is now being shown at the Tudor Theatre, Remuera. In “The Circus,” Charlie is seen as a poor tramp basking in the glamour of the circus lights, who is given a job as a handy man. One evening, when the trapeze artist is ill, Charlie tries liis hand at the work, and is an instant success. He is immediately taken on as a permanent hand. Some of the things he does on the trapeze and in the menagerie are uproariously funny.

“The Smart Set,” the second attraction, stars William Haines in a story of polo playing.
