THREE MEN IMPRISONED Press Association. WELLINGTON, To-day. Three men, Charles Edward Anderson. John James Clayton and James William Broderick, were charged today with the theft of overcoats, hats a scarf and other goods, to the value of £2B Is Gd from cars, also with breaking a car window valued at £2. Clayton was charged also with receiving a nickel watch and Anderson with the theft of a travelling rug, an overcoat and an alarm clock, to the value of £6 12s 6d. The police stated that a considerable amount of this sort of theft had been reported. Broderick appeared to be the leader in the cases preferred, and Clayton the least concerned. Anderson and Broderick were each sentenced to 12 months’ imprisonment, and Clayton to nine months’ imprisonment.
