BLACKBALL MINE SLACK GKEYJIOUTH, Thursday. Tilt- directors of the Blackball Coal Company this afternoon told tile Miners' Uinion that 171 of the miners, all single men, would be given a foitnight's notice to-morrow. The company intends to limit operations to one shift a day. us the slackness of trade and high overhead charges prevent the mine from paying.
