The Tokyo correspondent of “The Times” says the Japanese Government has published its reply to the Note from the Nanking Government (Chinese Nationalists) abrogating the Sino-Jap-anese commercial treaty. Japan refuses to accept the Nanking Government’s point of view and urges China to withdraw the abrogation. J a Pcmese reply concludes with the following strongly worded sentence: Nanking Government persists in the enforcement of its proposed provisional regulations Japan may be obliged to take such measures as may be deemed suitable to safeguard her rights and interests as assured by the treaties ”
