FAREWELL PARTY
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Ralfe and Mr. and Mrs. G. Simpson gave a delightful farewell party at the former’s residence, To Puke, on Tuesday evening, the guest of honour being Mr. J. O’Mara, who has been transferred to the stafT of the Bank of New Zealand at Raetihi. The evening was spent in dancing and musical items were sung by Messrs. Gibbings, Ralfe and Simpson, and Mrs. Duff also sang a delightful song. After supper Mr. Ralfe presented Mr. O’Mara with a silver cigarette case. The guests then sang “For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow.” The party finished after the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.” Mrs. Ralfe wore a charming sea green taffeta frock, trimmed with lame. Mrs. Simpson was wearing a smart frock of vieux rose, trimmed with buff crepe de chine. Miss Ross, sage green crepe de chine. Miss Plaice, pale blue satin, with lace insets to tone. Miss Brown, apricot velvet, with white and silver shawl.
