FROST CAUSES FALLS

HORSEMAN’S WAIT FOR HELP (From Our Own Correspondent.) TAIHAPE, Wednesday. While riding from Mangaweka to Kaupatau on Tuesday evening, Mr. A. Mahoney’s horse fell on a frost-coated bridge, throwing the rider .heavily. Mr. Mahoney was discovered two hours later by a passing motorist, and was conveyed to the Hunterville Hospital, where it was found that he was suffering from a fractured leg and body abrasions.

When Mr. L. Weston was descending a steep hill he slipped on the frost and fell. He received a broken leg and was taken to the Hunterville Hospital for medical attention.
