LEAGUE OF NOTIONS REVUE CO. High class entertainment is assured to-morrow evening at the St. James Theatre, when the “League of Notions” Revue Company will open its Auckland season. Headed by Miss Queenie Paul and Mike Connors, this revue has an outstanding cast, which includes Syd. Beck, burlesque comedian. Linn Smith’s Jazz Band, Leslie Pearce, juvenile lead, who has a good singing voice, Rougal and Raine. a clever dancing duo. Ivy Davis, the daintiest of soubrettes, and the exquisite six, a bevy of young ladies who trip the light fantastic toe. and wear some gorgeous clothes. Syd Beck, in his comic songs and patter, and his humorous facial expressions. is sure to prove a favourite with audiences. He does not depend on eccentric apparel or weird make-up. but he keeps the audience in roars of laughter through his wit. This revue is the biggest and most talented company on the Fuller circuit. and the last word in variety entertainment. Nothing less than hooked seats are good enough for this big attraction. The St. James Theatre announces that the prices of admission for this revue season will be 3s. 2s and Is. On Saturday evenings, when the prices will be 3s. 2s and Is fid. the grand circle seats may he reserved.
