A New Gar
De Soto Six Announced By Chrysler Company
A new motor-car, the Be Soto Six. built by Walter P. Chrysler and his associates, will be presented to the automobile world within the next sixty days. While the actual details are still to be announced, sufficient information to claim the attention of the entire industry has been made public. There is not at this time any car of the exact type of the E>e Soto on the market. This indicates why the new car will not be included in the Chrysler line. The Chrysler Corporation will continue to build three sixes and a four. An entirely separate dealer organisation will administer the affairs of the Be Soto, although the Be Soto Corporation is a division of the parent company. Mr. Chrysler’s personal announcement for the new venture follows: “In no previous achievement of the Chrysler organisation have I felt so great a pride as in the creation of the Be Soto Six. I believe that you will find in the Be Soto graphic evidence of the great strides which scientific manufacturing has taken in so short a time as twelve months in very greatly increasing the buying power of the motor-car dollar. “That, it seems to me, quite aside from its beauty and unusual performance capacities, is the special significance of the Be Soto Six; that the progress of the past year in manufacturing efficiencies and economies has made it possible to give in quality infinitely more than anyone has heretofore been able to give.
The Be Soto is the perfected result of more than two years’ careful study of market conditions and the changing needs of public transportation; it is the pre-eminent expression of the miraculous achievement of the past year in manufacturing science.
