CLUB TEAMS DRAW AUCKLAND V. MANGERE Before a large audience at St. Mary’s Hall, Parnell, last evening Auckland and Mangere Clubs finished all-square in an exciting inter-club match. A few weeks ago the teams first met at Mangere court, where Mangere secured a decided win. Last evening Auckland walked away with the first four games, Mangere winning the next five and leaving the final match to give a win or a draw. Results, Mangere names first Men’s Singles.—Ellett beat Rishworth, 15—8, 15—9. Women’s Singles.—Miss M. Waters lost to Miss M. Macfarlane, C—ll, - —2 l. Men’s Doubles. —Dart and Jones lost

to Southon and Kelly, 4—15, 5—15; Ellett j and Kissling lost to Martin and Rishworth ; 13 —15, 9—15. Women’s Doubles. —Mrs. Dart and Miss , B. Solomon beat Mrs. Langguth and Miss j Macfarlane, 15—14; 15 —11; the Misses M. and K. Waters beat Miss Harty and Miss Berry, 12—15, 15—14, 15—8. Mixed Doubles.—Miss Solomon and Dart beat Miss Berry and Kelly, 15—2, 15—1; Mrs. Dart and Jones beat Mrs. Langguth and Southon, 15—6, 12—15, 15— 8; Miss M. Waters and Ellett lost to Miss Harty and Rishworth, 3 3—15, 15—13, 11— 15; Miss K. Waters and Kissling lost to Miss Macfarlane and Martin, B—ls, 5 15. The surprise of the evening was the walk-over of Southon and Kelly against Dart and Jones, in the Xo. 1 match of the evening. Jones did not strike his game, and the Auckland pair played with perfect combination. Martin and Rishworth against Ellett and Kissling was the last game of the 1 evening, and the Auckland pair had to win to save the team from defeat. Mangere led away to 11—3 in the first set, but Martin then played sensationally and pulled the match out of the fire. Most of the other games were very : close and exciting. The match of the . evening was the »*. 1 ladies’ double, Mrs. Dart and Miss Solomon v. Mrs. ’ Langguth and Miss Macfarlane. All the players were in good form, and it was an excellent exhibition.
