FRANKLIN’S PROGRESS
THAT the Franklin Racing Club has made substantial progress was demonstrated by the balancesheet presented to members at the annual meeting by the president, Mr. Dynes Fulton. The statement showed an excess of assets over liabilities to the extent of £5,112, while an overdraft at the bank has been succeeded by a credit balance of £1,112. General regret and disappontment was expressed that the club was unable to again secure a permit for a second day's racing. A committee for the ensLiing year was elected as follows: E. M. Armstrong, J. Beatty, A. F. Brown, S. J. Clews, W. T. Dazeley, L. Dunn, A. Jones, E. J. Morrison, C. McCormick, F. G. Parker, J. J. Reynolds, P. L. Short.
