BAY OF PLENTY HUNT CLUB
ELECTION OF OFFICERS The annual meeting of the Bay of Plenty Hunt Club was held last week, there being a large attendance of members. The president, Mr. A. Brown, presided. He congratulated the members upon having had a successful year. The balance-sheet showed the financial position of the club to be sound. Mr. Wynn Brown, master of the Waikato Hunt advised that he would be willing to bring the hounds to Tauranga on September 16. It was decided to hold hunts on September 17, 19 and 21, and Messrs. A. Brown, S. Darragh, H. Holding and C. Hansel were appointed to obtain permission to hunt over certain properties. The election of officers resulted: Patron, Mr. A. Brown; president, Mr. A. Tanner; vice-presidents, Messrs. C. E. Macmillan, B. Dive, E. L. Broad, J. G. Green, IT. A. Sharp, H. F. Sinclair, H. Golding and C. Elvers; secretary, Mr. S. G. Willcock; hon. surgeons, Drs. T. Stuart, J. B. Mac Diarmid and S. Sweet Membership was fixed at £1 1«; schoolboys or girls are to be allowed to follow the hounds free, and nonmembers are to be charged 10s 6d per day. Hunting enthusiasts in Auckland, Waikato and other districts are to be invited to attend the meets.
