PRICE OF PETROL
NO FURTHER REDUCTION There will be no immediate altera* tion in the retail price of petrol of 2s a gallon, according to Mr. G. W. Spragg, chairman of the petrol committee of the Auckland Motor Trade Association, who has denied the rumour of a reduction of Id a gallon. The rumour had arisen, he *ak! through the announcement of & cash discount on the wholesale price. This would, not effect the price charged by resellers, who had themselves reduced the price at the pump by Id a gallon a fortnight ago, although there had been no wholesale reduction-
