AUCKLAND MOUNTED RIFLES NEW INSTRUMENTS FOR BAND The Management Committee of the Auckland Mounted Rifles Rand, at a meeting: held in Otaliuhu, decided to purchase a set of instruments at an approximate cost of £l9O. The Otahuhu Borough Council at present has £9O of the band’s iinances in hand, and the band has a balance of £SO for the purchase of instruments. The Mayor of Otahuhu, O.C. the regiment, and the chairman of the committee were appointed trustees. The Defence Department at present pays £75 per annum toward the bandmasters salary, and has promised a further £25 per annum on the formation of a cadet band.
