LOYAL FRANKLIN LODGE UNVEILING OF WAR MEMORIAL The memorial honours board erected by the members of the Loyal Franklin Manchester Unity Oddfellows, in remembrance of members who answered the call in the late war, will be unveiled at the lodge rooms, Otuhuliu. next Thursday evening:. AUCKLAND MOUNTED RIFLES NEW INSTRUMENTS FOR BAND The Management Committee of the Auckland Mounted Rifles Rand, at a meeting: held in Otaliuhu, decided to purchase a set of instruments at an approximate cost of £l9O. The Otahuhu Borough Council at present has £9O of the band’s iinances in hand, and the band has a balance of £SO for the purchase of instruments. The Mayor of Otahuhu, O.C. the regiment, and the chairman of the committee were appointed trustees. The Defence Department at present pays £75 per annum toward the bandmasters salary, and has promised a further £25 per annum on the formation of a cadet band.
