FIRE AT WHANGAREI

FAMILY ESCAPES IN NIGHT ATTIRE (From Our Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, To-day. Fire last night completely destroyed a five-romed house occupied by Mr. Ivan Brown and his wife, also by Mr. A. O. Hayner, the .owner of the house. The house was situated on a hill just outside the borough boundary, and the fire brigade was not summoned. The occupants lost all their possessions, escaping in their night attire. The house and furniture was partially insured.
