Blair, jun., jk Sarah, and A. Gill, jun. SHOW ASSOCIATIONS MEET CAMBRIDGE AND CLEVEDON The annual meeting of the Waikato Central Agricultural Association was held yesterday, Mr. J. S. Fisher presiding over a fair attendance. The report and balance sheet showed that the past year had been one oC the most successful in the past decade. The balance sheet showed that the year commenced with a debit; balance of £4 lSs lid, and concluded with a credit of £7l. Election of officers resulted:—President, Mr. J. S. Wattam, H. P. Hewitt and S. N. Ziman; auditor, Mr. P. G. Harvey. It was decided to hold the next annual show on March 13 and 14. * * * The 19th annual general meeting of the Clevedon A. and P. Association was held on the Clevedon Hall pn Thursday evening. The president, Mr. W. T. Ruder, presided over a good attendance of members. The annual report and balance sheet, which were adopted, showed that the past season had been a most successful one. Twenty-nine new members had been elected, and four resignations received, the total membership being 2SI. The grandstand and buildings had been repainted during the year, and many other improvements had been effected on the show ground, including the planting of ornamental and shelter trees. The gross receipts for the year were '£533 6s 7d, and the expenditure .£4Bl 14s 9d, leaving a credit balance of £sl 11s lOd. The balance sheet showed estimated assets amounting to £2,108 Is, and liabilities £567 14s 6d, leaving a sum of £1,540 6s 6d. being balance of assets over liabilities. The secretary, Mr. U. M. Bryan, was voted a bonus in addition to his regular salary, as a mark of appreciation of his services during the past year. It was decided to hold the 20tli annual show on Saturday, February 9, 1929. MORRINSVILLE NEWS Meaney Bros., of Morrinsville, have Purchased Mr. W. Leonard’s farm of 125 acres at Kereone. * * * Miss C. Brown has commenced her duties at the Klwitahi School. Miss Taylor, who was relieving, has been transferred to Te Puke. * * * The vital statistics for Morrinsville for July, with figures for July, 1927, in parentheses, are as fololw: Births, 13 (10); deaths, 1 (1); marriages, 1 (4). * * * Messrs. T. Burrows, J. Mathieson and Hutchinson, of Morrinsville, were successful in their examinations for second class stationary engineering, at -Hamilton, this week. J.
