FEWER JOBS FOUND

UNEMPLOYMENT INCREASE A further increase in unemployment is shown by figures supplied by the Labour Department this morning. The total number of men out of work is 862, compared with 816 last week. Men classed as lit for heavy work total 690 and for light work 172. The figures for the preceding week were 637 and 179 respectively. During the week 46 men were placed in employment, compared with 127 for the week ending July 28.
