A LONE HAND
MR. LYSNAR’S INDEPENDENCE
(TJIE SUN’S Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, To-day.
Possibly to show his independence, Mr. W. D. Lysnar last evening played a lone hand in insisting on a division for the motion that Mr. P. Fraser’s Right to Work Bill, which contains an appropriation, be again deferred. Almost complete unanimity of the House on the question was plainly apparent, but Mr. Lysnar insisted and accordingly the bells were set ringing and the doors locked. It was then found impossible to secure second teller for the “noes” and Mr. Speaker declared the motion carried on the voices.
