DIVORCE MILL
RAPID WORK IN AMERICA NEW YORK, July 22. The United States is growing rapidly in population and divorce, but is standing still in marriages, according to figures issued by the census office. Divorces grew by 6 per cent, during 1927 over the previous year. Many more persons are being married in Nevada and Arizona, indicating that many Californians jump into their motor-cars and visit these neighbouring States for quick matrimony, rather than await the three days’ notice required under the new Calir fornia law.
