AUCKLAND UNION MEETS GUARDING AGAINST THEFT Complaints were received from the Otahuhu Club, at a meeting of the Rugby Union Management' Committee presided over last evening by Mr. H. Frost, that members of the club’s junior teams had been robbed of clothing while playing at the Domain and Victoria Park. It was decided to act on a suggestion made by Mr. Belshaw that delegates from the Football Union, League and Association and all other organised sports bodies should approach the Parks Committee of the City Council to try and arrange for the supervision of dressing sheds on council sports grounds to guard against the depredations of sneak thieves. Further consideration was given to playing the match between Manukau Rovers and Training College which was missed in the first round of tl/" competition and it was decided to play it on the first day that Manukau had a bye in the Pollard Cup matches. A request for a representative match made by the Manukau Sub-union was referred to the Match Committee. Ponsonby Club was given permission to send a team to Waiuku on Saturday, and a request for permission to visit Pukekohe on August 4 made by the Training College Club was also granted. Sacred Heart College was given permission to play its Past v. Present game on August 11. In reference to the New South Wales game on August 25. the Junior Management Board asked that the curtainraiser be kept for important junior fixtures that would be played on that date. Appreciation of the union’s ageist - ance in enterta.niing the Whangarei team was expressed ip a letter from Mount Albert Grammar School. B. Goodall was regraded from seniors to third grade intermediate. Representatives of the union were appointed for Saturday’s game as follow: Showgrounds, Mr. C. W. Oram and Mr. R.
