Won by a length, a similar distance between second and third. VALAIS AGAIN DEAD, BUT TOPS LIST (United P.A. — By Telegraph — Copyright) Reed. 1.15 p.m. SYDNEY, To-day. The notable sire Valais is again at the head of the winning sires of Australia for the fifth year in succession. Valais, who is now dead, was retired to the stud in 1919, and his progeny since have won approximately a total of £208,000, their winnings last season being £ 36,000.
