CABINET DISSENSIONS

MUST SPEAK WITH ONE VOICE BALDWIN AND HIS PARTY (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) LONDON, ‘Wednesday. The “Daily Telegraph" says the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. Stanley Baldwin, at the next meeting of the Cabinet, will insist upon Ministers speaking with one voice on important subjects such as the safeguarding of industries. The Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. Churchill, had an interview with Mr. Baldwin, and difficulties were smoothed away. The Secretary of State for the Dominions, Mr. L. S. Amery, denies that he proffered his resignation. There is a growing feeling in the party, says the paper, that a definite statement of the Government’s policy is required, failing which the rank and file can hardly be blamed for pressing tbeir own views.
