Miss W. Gregory, of Wellington, is visiting Auckland. Miss Phyllis Wilson, of Wellington, is a visitor to Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. R. Bowen, of Christchurch, are visiting Auckland. Mrs. W. G. Monckton, of Takapuna, is at present visiting Christchurch. Miss Kathleen Wilson has returned to Hamilton from a visit to Auckland. * * * Mrs. C. Swanson, of Symonds Street, Auckland, is on a visit to AVellington. Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Ibbotson, of Hamilton, are staying at the Albert Hotel. * * * Mr. and Mrs. J. McLennan return to Master ton to-day from a visit to Auckland. Staying at the Hotel Cargen are Mrs. Christie and Miss H. Marshall, of Wanganui. Mrs. E. Kobertshawe and Miss Robertshawe, of Thames, are visiting Auckland. Mrs. Leslie Angus, of Wellington, has returned, after visiting her sister, Mrs. L. Brown, of Remuera. Mr. and Mrs. C. Erson, of Hamilton, and Mr. and Mrs. S. Banks, of Cambridge, are guests at the Central Hotel. Miss Joyce Wilson, of Blenheim, is visiting Auckland and is staying with Mrs. J. E. Wilson, of Market Road, Epsom. * * * Miss Blanche Tobin, of Tauranga, will be leaving for Sydney by the Ulimaroa on August 10, en route for China. * * * Mr. and Mrs. G. McMillan, of Wellington, and Mrs. W. Vosper and Mrs. E. Mortyn, of Cambridge, are staying at the Star Hotel. Mrs. Humphrey Haines who has been staying with her sister-in-law, Mrs. Robert Isaac, Remuera, has now taken a flat at Courtville. Mrs. P. J. Chantlebury, Mrs. Nello Porter, Mrs. Victor Macky and Miss H. Hardley left town yesterday to spend a holiday Rotorua. Mr. and Mrs. Grant McDonald, of Perth, Western Australia, Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Gregory, of Ceylon, and Miss E. Hart, of Lawrence, are staying at the Grand. * * * Mrs. Percy Thomson, of Takapuna, who has been living in Sydney for some months, has returned to her home at Edgecliff, Kitchener Road, Takapuna. * * * Mr. and Mrs. R. Wilson, of Makuri. Wairarapa, are visiting Auckland, and were present at the wedding yesterday of Miss N. G. Wilson to the Rev. N. F. E. Robertshawe, of Thames. Dr. R. W. Shearman, of New York, Mrs. Shearman, and their son, Mr. K. W. Shearman, arrived by the Maheno on a visit to th'3 Dominion. They are staying at the Grand Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Shanly will leave Auckland during August for a visit to China and Japan. Mr. Shanly is going in the interests of the Rotary Club, and his wife will be accompanied by Mrs. Gardiner. Mrs. K. C. Cox, a member of the executive of the Auckland Provincial Girl Guides’ Association, left by the Aorangi for Ganada, where she will reside in future. Mrs. Cox will be greatly missed in Auckland, where she has always taken a keen interest in the Girl Guide movement. She hopes to continue her work in that sphere in Canada.
