HOW THEY FARED

rpWELVE months ago THE SUN made a selection of 12 young pacers likely to show prominence during the 1927-28 season. They were Terence Dillon, Author Jinks, Tom Thumb, Loch Moigh, William the Great, Great Earl, Great Peter, Daytime, Logan Brae, Reremai, Explosion and Enawah. Several mentioned delivered the goods in great style and proved profitable propositions. Great Earl went amiss immediately afterwards, and only raced at the tail end of the season, while Enawah was also placed hors de combat, and only went to the post once. Explosion went amiss and Great Peter only raced on four occasions for one win. Terence Dillon and Author Jinks rose to the highest ranks in the game and Loch Moigh. Tom Thumb and William the Great proved good winners. Many of these will go further in the game during the 1928-29 season, and their numerous admirers should not let them out of mind.
